By airplane
The closest airports are Oporto, León, Vigo, Valladolid(these last in Spain), Lisbon and Madrid, in this order. You can check a map to compare the relative position of these places.

From Oporto

From the airport to the centre of Oporto
After collecting your luggage, go to the metro station ticket machines in the lower level, where you should buy a Z4 type ticket (it costs a little more than 2€). You will get a blue card called "Andante" which you should keep because it's rechargeable.
Then go up to the platform where the trains leave with direction to "Estádio do Dragão". The name of the stop where you should leave the vehicle is "Bolhão" and the trip lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

Finding the bus station
There are several companies which serve the bus trip to Bragança: REDE EXPRESSOS and RODONORTE. The ticket prices are similar in both companies so the choice is mainly due to the schedules, which you can find www.rede-expressos.pt and www.rodonorte.pt. a map indicating the location of the respective central stations. Don't forget to carry your student identification (or under 26 card) to get a ticket price discount.

In Bragança
Buses make two stops in Bragança: the IPB bus stop and the central bus station. Sometimes the first of these is suppressed if the passengers don't ask for it explicitly. Consult the city map to localize both stops in the town.

By car

From Lisbon

From the airport to Oriente station by bus
After collecting your luggage, go to the bus stop and catch a bus to Oriente station. Listed below are the bus route numbers with the respective names of their ‘end of the line’ terminals. The ticket can be purchased from the driver as you board the bus and the price is 1.35€. All these lines stop at Oriente station (approx. 10 minutes journey):
N. 5 – Areeiro/ Aeroporto / Estação do Oriente (daytime service)
N. 44 - Cais do Sodré / Aeroporto / Moscavide (daytime service)

In alternative you can catch the Aeroshuttle (CARRIS N96). It's available every day, every 30 minutes between 7am and 11pm, the aeroshuttle connects Gare do Oriente - Airport - Entrecampos - Sete Rios - Praça de Espanha. Tickets can be purchased onboard and also in the Tourism Office at arrivals (public area) and the price is 3.50€.

From the airport to Oriente station by taxi
There are two taxi stands within the perimeter of the airport, one at arrivals and the other at departures.
The fare on the taxi meter should read 2,50€ (daytime pick-up). Outside the city limits, city fares are charged per kilometer (km=0,42). An extra 1,60€ is charged for the transportation of luggage or animals and additional 20% is charged for services on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and for nighttime service from 9pm to 6am. Before taking a taxi, inquire about the fare.
